Stumptown Comics Fest 2011on April 18, 2011 at 23:12
I attended the Stumptown Comics Fest this past weekend and had a blast seeing all the great work being done. I spent way too much money but came away with some really cool stuff. The highlights of which: a signed print by Nonplayer artist Nate Simpson and an art book featuring some great reproductions of Gene Colan’s work.
I would like to acknowledge the following folks for their time and inspiration:
Gary Martin (Your review of my work was invaluable. I can’t thank you enough), Nate Simpson (love the Nonplayer print and thank you for the dog drawing you gave my daughter), Steph Godfrey (the creativity behind and the execution of your thirteen foot comic is awesome), Peter & Maria Hoey (Coin-Op is a feast of great design), Joe Keatinge (enjoyed your panel on selling damn comics but still can’t get used to the “e” at the end of your name) and Peter Hon (didn’t speak with you long but so glad I did. I absolutely love Malden!).
I’ll be back next year! (Hopefully with a table!)
