Off and running...

Well, here we go… What I hope to do with this blog is track the development and ultimate production of my first graphic novel. This may be a tall order since I’ve never maintained a blog before. But we’ll see how it goes.

I’m not ready to really give much of anything away at the moment. Not even the title. So stick with me. It’s a story concept that I’ve had running through my head for years. At least I thought it was a story concept. What I found when I sat down and started putting this thing together was that what I actually had been thinking about all these years were set pieces and action scenes that had no cohesive narrative to them. The characters and their motivations and much of their world didn’t exist for me. I found out the hard way that writing is a lot hard than it looks. In fact, creating this graphic novel is probably my greatest professional challenge. But I will prevail.
