Here are some art prints that I came home with…

.) Small Tarzan print signed by Joe Jusko. Mr. Jusko is an amzing artist who I have been a fan of since I was a kid. Believe it or not this guy barely had anyone lined up at his table and that just floors me. This is guy is awesome and one of my favorite artists to chat with. On my way out of the show I looked across the show floor and saw Mr. Jusko sitting behind his table, sketching with out a single visitor. I made it a point to march over there and thank him again. A class act.
.) 2006 ECC Laser Cel signed by Erik Larsen. I ended up being given this Erik Larsen cel for free at the ECCC booth for whatever reason. I’m not complaining though. I learned late Sunday (See number 3 below) that Mr. Larson was at the show and I was able to get his signature on it. What luck!
.)Spider-Man print signed by Randy Emberlin and Erik Larsen. So I stopped by Mr. Emberlin’s booth (who is an inker I have always admired) and spent way too much time looking over which print I wanted to buy and have him sign. I’m glad I did though because while I was there he mentioned that Mr. Larsen was just across the way at another table. I have no idea why I missed him all day Saturday and most of Sunday but jeez! So I chose this simple but classic Spidey pose pencilled by Larsen and inked by Emberlin for them both to sign. Mr. & Mrs. Emberlin were awesome and I enjoyed meeting them both.
.) Large ECCC special print by Pat Race. Mr. Race is an artist that came down from Juneau, Alaska for the show. I love this print! Very simple but classic story telling with an original concept. My only regret is that I should have shelled out the extra ten bucks and purchased the high end print of this same piece on the board he had. The colors were more saturated and crisp. It was near the end of the show and I had spent so much money by then that I was really trying to cut back and went the less expensive route. Oh well. It’s a beautiful piece anyway.
