Has it really been almost a month since my last update? What the heck happened to November?!

I did this Bogart piece for a blog on CBR called Comics Should Be Good which has a column called “The Line it is Drawn.” There was recently an open call for submissions so I tried my hand at it. The theme was make any person (real or fictional) into a comic character. The catch was that I had unwittingly contacted them about the submission process on the very day it was about to close. I had about five hours to put something together so what you see above was done very quickly (for me anyway). The idea of Bogart being a kind of  ”punisher” came to me when I ran across the above quote in a book I have called Movie Icons: Bogart (published by Tachen). It was perfect. The inking was completed in about two and a half hours. Unfortunately I ran out of time before I could complete the piece to my satisfaction and I had to send them an earlier version. Once I did that I kept working on it to bring it up to where I wanted it. Overall, I’m happy with it. I think I could have pushed some things further but I’m just happy I was able to send them something on such short notice. Plus, I had a blast doing it!
